With its 72-68 win against Wichita State, the Southern Illinois men's basketball team secured the No. 5 seed in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and, in turn, avoided playing a play-in game on Thursday.
The Salukis' quarter-final round opponent? The Bradley Braves.
Once primed to be MVC regular season champions (according to YouTube), the Salukis beat the Braves 68-62 on Jan. 21, knocking them out of first place once and for all.
